Lawn Sodding and Seeding

Curb appeal often begins with achieving a gorgeous green lawn. A well-manicured lawn is often the first thing people notice about your yard; no one wants to see bare spots and weeds. Whether you would prefer rolling out sod or seeding your lawn from scratch, the end result should be a yard that is the envy of the neighborhood. We offer both lawn sodding and seeding in our South Shore lawn care services.

Lawn Sodding

Most people find the greatest benefit of lawn sodding is the immediate results. Your new lawn will also be pretty much weed-free. Lawn sodding can be used to establish a new lawn or replace an old lawn. It is a particularly good option for slopes and other areas prone to erosion, where grass seed and new roots could be more easily washed away. Sod can be laid any time during the growing season. Both lawn sodding and lawn seeding require prep work to get the soil ready to support a new lawn.

Lawn Seeding

Seeding typically costs less than sodding but takes more time to get established. It is best done in the late summer or fall. Lawn seeding gives you more options for the type of grass you grow and, therefore, more control over how well your new lawn will tolerate your yard’s unique conditions. Seeding can be used to create a whole new lawn, to repair bare spots, or rehabilitate thin places that are allowing too many weeds to get established.

To make sure your beautiful new lawn is kept lush and healthy, we can take care of your irrigation needs as well. Do not forget that we also offer both residential and commercial lawn mowing services and overall lawn care services.
